More off season learning
Some parts of the country are in a deep freeze right now. If that is you, please be careful!
I do quite a bit of “playing” and “experimenting” in the studio between January and April. There are no vendor events, my garden has been harvested, school is in a routine (usually!) and the holiday rush is over. (Hallelujah!)
This week I took a drawing that a client shared and downloaded it in different ways. I believe the picture started out in JPEG format, but PDF gives a similar result.
I use Corel to run my laser. Even after 6 years of learning, I know it can do so much more than I realize. I have always converted files a certain way. The other day I was watching some YouTube videos to learn some new techniques and discovered another way to download files.
Here are the results …
This is how I’ve always downloaded the file. There is quite a bit of work behind the scenes. Some color files do not convert nicely to black/white. (The laser burns off the black part of a photo).
This is the same design downloaded a different way. This is a close up to show the detail.
I just love this time of year when I get to explore new things!
Until next time,
